Collinsias ( Chinese Houses) with Buttercup and Poppies

Thanks to Glen Schneider for suggesting Buttercups on these south facing slopes, where they are seldom found in Shell Ridge. They have done very well so far.

The Achillea is almost always found only on North facing slopes in Shell Ridge. The 50 or so plants planted in 2014-2015 have done extremely well. They have also produced hundreds of seedlings.

    Packera ( formerly Senecio) brewerii.

These grow in only one spot in Shell Ridge, a very steep hillside/ cliff. They seem happy here under the Valley Oak. They can survive here because we have no cattle.
